Question Queue
This is a list of verses I find puzzling or questions I have about scripture. My hope, over time, is to these questions, and the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything.
- Matt 7:6 – What?
- Matt 21:44 – What does this verse mean?
- Matt 19:16-30 – Rich young ruler – which commandments are missing from the list? Does any of that tie into what Jesus taught the pharisees were lacking?
- What are God’s promises to His people?
- What are the signs of salvation/proofs/requirements for following Jesus?
- Phil 1:8 – What exactly does it mean to long fro someone with the affections of Christ Jesus
- Eph 3:12 – What does it mean to have bold and confident access through faith to Him?
- Eph 6:9 – Give up threatening? In light of God not showing partiality, does this mean that you do whatever you say you’re going to do, regardless of the circumstance? So if you say “if you do that, you’ll get a spanking”, you need to give them a spanking next time they do it?
- Matt 12:46-50 – Does this apply for my relationships or just Christ’s?
- Rom 9:3 – Why does Paul wish he were accursed?
- John 4:24 – How do we worship God in spirit?
- John 5:14 – Jesus isn’t telling this man that sin can cause physical ailments, is he?
- Mark 5:40 – How did they go from weeping to laughing so quickly? I get the idea people in the old days were kind of dramatic. Seems like that was part of their culture.
- Mark 6:48 – Why was Jesus going to pass them by?
- Mark 6:52 – Why were the disciples’ hearts hardened?
